Okay so your daughter is now a tween; no longer a little girl and not quite a teenager and mostly definitely not a woman. How do you as a parent assist your tween in making the leap from child to almost teenager? One good way to honor your daughter and to acknowledge that she is no longer a little girl is to celebrate her. Yes, have a celebratory party in honor of your young daughter whereby her friends and parents friends are invited to come and share in fun games and activities, as well as fun and educational question and answer sessions that allows the young pre-teenagers to openly ask questions in a safe and relaxed environment. You can conclude the celebration in your daughter honor by having her with her friends’ assistance to create a memoir of the momentous occasion that she can keep and cherish for years to come. Additionally, she can use the memoir to reflect on lessons learned and relish in the good memories of being celebrated and welcomed for who she is and is becoming as a young teenager. I am somebody special!
